Trump’s son-in-law’s narrative of how John Bolton was fired.
The son-in-law of the former American president told the story of his dismissal from the White House National Security Advisor position, stating that John Bolton was a madman in Donald Trump’s opinion.
The son-in-law and senior adviser of the former US President Donald Trump, in a book called “Exploring History: Memories of the White House”, which he published from his time in the White House, narrated the story of the dismissal of “John Bolton”, the National Security Adviser of the White House.
Bolton served as the US representative to the United Nations in the administration of “George Bush Jr.” and worked as the White House’s national security adviser for a while in the Trump administration.
Kushner in chapter 35 of this book titled “Enemy in Austin” first explains that in May 2019, after Trump threatened Mexico with high tariffs, the government of Mexico City increased the strictures on the border with the United States and prevented Illegal immigrants entered the United States.
Referring to his call with Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard, he writes: “I told him that my first rule in working with Trump is that you must actively inform him of your actions. Because otherwise, he feels like nothing is getting done and takes over. I operate under the assumption that if he asks me for new information about something, it’s already too late.”
The son-in-law of the former US president wrote that on September 10, during the presence of the Mexican foreign minister in the presidential office, Trump raised the issue of Bolton’s dismissal, and wrote: “Trump said to Eberard in the Oval Office, ‘I don’t know if you have seen the news. But I fired John Bolton today. Eberard didn’t expect Trump to talk about Bolton and cautiously replied, “Yes, I saw the news.”
Kushner went on to quote Trump’s criticism of Bolton during his meeting with the Mexican foreign minister: “John was crazy.” He always tries to fight with everyone. He wanted to go to war with China, Russia, Venezuela, North Korea and Iran at the same time. At first, I had nothing to do with his violence. Having him on the White House staff made me look like a reasonable person who wanted change. It also made the enemies nervous.”
He added: “Trump paused a bit and looked at Eberard’s face and continued, ‘Today, John came into my office and said, Mr. President, everything is ready and we should attack Mexico, because they are doing a good job at the border [to prevent I told him, John, this is extreme and a last resort. I would never do that to my friend Amelo (short for Mexican President) or the great nation of Mexico. You’re fired! »
