Media sources from Indonesia reported that the two-day meeting of the leaders of the Group of 20 ended on Wednesday (today) with the release of a statement.
According to Al Jazeera, in this statement, which was approved by most of the G20 member countries, “Russia’s aggression against Ukraine” has been condemned.
In a part of the final statement of the G20 meeting in Bali, Indonesia, referring to the war in Ukraine, it is stated that international laws and rights must be respected and the threat of using nuclear weapons is unacceptable.
“Many members strongly condemned Russia’s illegal, unjustified and baseless war of aggression against Ukraine and called for an end to the war,” the statement said.
The G20 leaders also welcomed the revival of the grain agreement between Russia and Ukraine, mediated by the United Nations and Turkey.
They also expressed their concern about the damage to critical health infrastructure, the loss of civilians and medical personnel as a result of the war in Ukraine.
According to the G20 statement, the war in Ukraine has damaged the global economy, and the central banks of the member countries continue to adjust their monetary policies according to the situation.
