Abu Umayr al-Hadrami, an aide to former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, was killed in an airstrike in Yemen.
Al-Qaeda has reported that one of its military leaders was killed in a US-led invasion of Yemen, IRNA reported Friday morning from Russia Today, a website that monitors the activities of armed groups on the Internet.
Rita Katz, director of the website, said al-Qaeda had not mentioned the date or place of the killing of Saleh bin Salem bin Obaid Abullan, known as Abu Amir al-Hadrami, an aide to former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
Earlier, news sources reported that three terrorists were killed in a November 14 US airstrike on Yemen. A U.S. drone reportedly targeted a vehicle carrying al-Qaeda members, killing three people.
