The 29th meeting of the Inter-Provincial Committee of Education Ministers was held today under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training Shafqat Mahmood. It has been decided to hold examinations across the country while summer vacations will be given in limited numbers.
The Inter-Provincial Committee of Education Ministers examined in detail all possible options for conducting examinations across the country and decided that the examinations would start from June 20, but the final date would be announced by the respective provinces themselves.
With regard to the summer holidays, the Inter-Provincial Committee of Education Ministers has decided that they will be in limited numbers, while no one will be promoted to the next class without examination this year.
Chairman Inter-Provincial Minister for Education Committee Shafqat Mahmood urged all federal units to ensure timely vaccination of teachers, supervisory staff and other administrative staff and teachers who do not have vaccination certificate will not be called for invigilation.

The National Education Assessment Framework was also shared with the provinces in the Inter-Provincial Committee of Education Ministers and was approved in principle.

It may be recalled that on April 27, the Ministry of Education had announced to postpone all examinations, including the Cambridge system, till June 15 in view of the spread of corona virus across the country.
Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood had said in a press conference that there would be no examination from today till June 15 and the examinations of class IX to XII which were scheduled to start at the end of May have been further postponed.
