Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid has said that 88 people have been arrested on charges of embezzling dollars and increasing the price of it , out of which an FIR has been registered against 47 arrested persons for hoarding and smuggling dollars.
During a press conference in Islamabad, the Home Minister said that it has been decided to audit five major Pakistani companies dealing in dollars while an FIR has been registered against 47 arrested persons.
Regarding the non-governmental organizations (NGOs) active in the country, Sheikh Rashid said that there are 27 active NGOs in the country out of which 91 NGOs are reviewing their foreign funding. We are not interfering in this, but we are definitely doing something.
Paying tributes to the Islamabad administration, army, Rangers and other agencies for the timely completion of matters related to the funeral prayers and burial of Dr. Abdul Qadir, the Federal Home Minister said that the confirmation of Mohsin Pakistan’s death was delayed by an hour as on Sunday. Communication was difficult and offices were closed.
Responding to a question about the opposition, he said that he was being watched by the media, adding that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) should take into account the situation in the region in its political decisions. Ignoring the situation will be to their detriment.
