Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sadhu was awarded the Legion of Merit Award of the Turkish Armed Forces. The medal was presented to him as a result of his outstanding services in promoting mutual cooperation and relations between the two Air Forces.
According to details, a statement issued by the spokesman of Pakistan Air Force said that Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sadhu met with senior military leadership of Turkey during his four-day official visit to Turkey today.
The Air Chief held separate meetings with Turkish Minister of National Defense Mr. Holosi Ekar and Chief of General Staff of Turkey General Yasir Guler. The two sides discussed ways to enhance their military capabilities.
Later, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sadhu also called on Commander Turkish Air Force General Hassan Kokakiz. The promotion of mutual cooperation was discussed in detail. The meeting also discussed training and exchange of pilots between PAF and Turkish Air Force.
