Islamabad :
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to seek the help of President Dr Arif Alvi and Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial to meet the PTI’s demand for setting up a judicial commission to investigate the alleged threatening diplomatic cable.
According to media reports, a statement issued by Imran Khan said, “The cable shared by the former Pakistani ambassador to the United States will be consulted with both key state officials.”
Following his dismissal from the PM’s job through the no-confidence motion, he repeatedly claimed that he had forgiven the former Pakistani ambassador to the United States, Joe Biden, a senior official in the Biden administration, if the no-confidence motion was successful. Otherwise, the country could face serious consequences.
The statement from Imran Khan said that the “threat” given to the Pakistani ambassador in a formal meeting was shameful and against diplomatic principles. There is no place for such arrogant and non-diplomatic behavior in a civilized world.
The PTI chief said that the self-respect and independence of the nation was more important than maintaining power.
He said that the nation was deeply saddened and angry over the external interference in the internal and political affairs of the country.
Imran Khan said that in view of the strong public reaction to this ‘intervention’, it has become difficult to further delay the announcement of the historic march in the federal capital.
“People are very angry to see thieves becoming traitors and now people want them to be held accountable for their actions,” he added.
Meanwhile, the PTI Chairman visited the Chinese Embassy in the Federal Capital Territory to offer condolences over the recent suicide attack in Karachi and called on Chinese Charg d’Affaires Peng Chunksu, who was briefed on the loss of lives of Chinese nationals in the Karachi University blast. Expressed condolences
On the occasion, the PTI chief said that China is the most trusted friend of Pakistan and the unparalleled and deep roots of Pakistan-China friendship are not easy for their enemies to digest.
He added that the killing of Chinese teachers was an attempt to damage the friendship between the two states.
He further said that the whole nation was exhausted with grief over the killing of innocent Chinese teachers.
The Chinese diplomat thanked the PTI delegation for visiting the embassy and offered condolences. Imran Khan also wrote his comments in the guest book.
