Rawalpindi: Awami Muslim League chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that the longer the political fight goes on, the more dire the situation of the poor will become. Immediate elections are the need of the hour.
In his message on the social media website Twitter, the former interior minister said that the example of relations with Israel and trade with India came out in Shahbaz Sharif’s audioleak.
Sheikh Rasheed said that looking at the requirements of the situation, the League is also embarking on an election campaign. It is September, important decisions will be made in October.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed further said that the economic situation is so dire that even if no one calls, people will be on the streets and the need of the hour is to leave aside ego and stubbornness and take a quick decision for a clean and transparent election.
Addressing the meeting, Shahbaz Sharif said that during the General Assembly meeting, meetings were held with important leaders including the Secretary General of the United Nations, and the world leaders were informed about the disaster caused by floods in Pakistan.
