Armed violence in the United States. A shooting in Washington left four people injured.
A shooting outside a stadium in the US capital, Washington, DC, during a game between two baseball teams, left four people injured and a wave of fear among spectators.
Washington DC police say four people were shot outside the National Park baseball stadium in the city. Police also added that the shooting had stopped and that an investigation was under way.
When the gunshots were heard, the anxious fans were asked to leave the stadium in the middle of the game between the Washington Nationals and the San Diego Paders, and the game between the two teams remained incomplete.
The exact cause of the shooting is not yet known.
According to the Mehr news agency, a 6-year-old girl was killed and several others were injured in an armed attack in the same city at around 11 o’clock last Friday night (local time).
Washington Police Deputy Chief of Police Ashan Benedict said the girl was taken to hospital but died of her injuries.
It is also said that at least three young men and two women were injured during the incident.
According to police, the motive for the attack has not been determined yet and no defendant has been arrested in this case.
