South Africa: “Macron” not invited to the “BRICS” meeting.
According to the Sputnik news agency, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa announced on Monday: The (upcoming) BRICS summit will not be limited to 5 member countries.
The President of South Africa added that he has invited the leaders of 67 African countries and other countries of the world to BRICS.
He continued that 34 countries have already confirmed their participation in the “BRICS” summit.
The Secretary General of the United Nations and representatives of other organizations have also been invited to these events.
According to Sputnik, the name of French President Emmanuel Macron, who wanted to participate in the said meeting, is not on the list of invitees.
According to Sputnik, South Africa’s Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor also said in a related speech that the heads of 23 countries have officially expressed their interest in joining BRICS, even more informal requests. There is in this context.
In this regard, he emphasized: “Emmanuel Macron” (President of France) has not been invited to this meeting.
This is while the Kremlin spokesperson had previously announced that the next BRICS meeting will be held in South Africa from August 22 to 24.
It should be noted that in 2015, the leaders of BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) agreed to maintain their close relationship in order to develop cooperation in the monetary field in accordance with the instructions of the central banks of each country. This agreement included currency swap transactions, settlement with the national currency, and direct investment in national currencies.
