The Saudi king has been admitted to the hospital.
The Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the transfer of Salman bin Abdulaziz to a hospital in Jeddah.
The Royal Court of Saudi Arabia announced today (Sunday) that King Salman bin Abdulaziz left for King Faisal Hospital in Jeddah last night.
The official Saudi news agency (WAS), without any explanation, merely claimed that he had been taken to hospital for some medical tests.
This is the second time in two months that King Fertoot of Saudi Arabia has been hospitalized. He had also gone to Malek Faisal Hospital on March 16 (March 25, 1400) to change his heart battery while undergoing medical tests, according to the Royal Court.
The 87-year-old Saudi king also underwent surgery in 2020 to remove his gallbladder. Last year, his long stay at his residence in the city of Naum in northwestern Saudi Arabia and his absence from the cameras, which lasted a year and a half, caused a great deal of controversy, many due to his old age and inability to manage. He pointed out that some, including the well-known Saudi opposition, Madawi al-Rasheed, wrote that the Saudi king no longer had the power to understand the issues around him.
Salman bin Abdul Aziz was last seen during the Eid al-Fitr prayers with his son Muhammad bin Salman, who is in charge of affairs.
