Saudi-UAE clashes over “Taiz” in Yemen.
A high-ranking military source revealed that the command of the Taiz military axis affiliated with the resigned government has agreed to its positions against 20 million Saudi riyals.
A senior military official has revealed details of a deal between the Taiz military base (southwestern Yemen) of the al-Islah party (affiliated with the resigned government) and a delegation of UAE-backed Tariq Saleh forces.
The source said that a secret meeting was held between a delegation from the Tariq Command and the Taiz Axis Command at the Shamsan Hotel in the center of the city. The heights of Jabal Sabr, in addition to Cairo Fortress and Tabab, and strategic positions in Thabat, Al-Jahmaliyah and the old part of the city in exchange for 20 million Saudi riyals and new weapons, cannons and advanced snipers.
According to the report, the UAE-affiliated delegation put the Taiz Axis Command in a difficult position, used the “stick and carrot” method, and implicitly stated that it would inform the coalition of the results of the meeting in order to impose this request on the Al-Islah Party. Slowly On the other hand, the Taiz Axis Command has announced its readiness to hand over some positions and has said that it should review some other positions.
According to the report, the meeting will be held on the direct orders of Saudi Arabia and a few months after the coalition handed over the Taiz case to Tariq Saleh.
Informed sources added that the forces that will be deployed in the mentioned positions after its transfer are Salafi groups affiliated with “Abu Abbas”, which has previously had clashes with the forces of the reformist party affiliated to the resigned government.
The aggressor coalition then transferred the Taiz case to Tariq Saleh’s forces, which suffered heavy casualties in al-Jawf, Ninth and Ma’rib. The Taiz Axis Command and Tariq Saleh’s forces held meetings within the framework of coordination between the two sides last year, but these steps were unsuccessful with the assassination of one of the leaders of the Reform Party, Zia al-Haq al-Ahdal.
