The World Health Organization (WHO) has asked the China to provide preliminary data on the initial case of the coronavirus, which was first seen in Wuhan.
The World Health Organization says discovering the source of the corona virus is “crucial” in preventing the future outbreak of the disease.
More than 4.3 million people worldwide have been infected with the virus since late 2019, when the first cases of coronary heart disease were identified in Wuhan, China.
A team of experts and scientists from the World Health Organization released a report in March after visiting the city of Wuhan in January to identify the origin of the corona, which did not lead to any definitive conclusions.
Instead, the report hypothesized that a mutation from animals to humans – possibly bats – was the most likely route of transmission; While the probability of the virus coming from a laboratory is “very low”.
In the same vein, last month, World Health Organization Director-General Tadros Adhanum proposed a second phase of research to conduct further studies in China and inspect the Wuhan Laboratory.
