Zionist media: Tel Aviv will stop gas extraction for fear of Hezbollah’s threats.
Channel 13 of the Zionist regime announced that the officials of the cabinet of the Zionist regime are afraid of the threats of the Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, so they will not extract gas from the disputed field.
The Israeli media announced yesterday (Monday) that “Israel pays attention to the threats of Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, and refrains from extracting gas on technical grounds.”
According to the report of Al-Mayadeen network website, Udi Segal, the anchor of the Zionist TV channel 13, said: “Lapid says that he wants a signed agreement, but now it seems that Israel listens to Nasrallah’s threats, and despite announcing this news, Gazi does not extract”.
“Tazvi Yehzekili”, an analyst of Arab issues on Channel 13, also noted: “I read Prime Minister Lapid’s position as follows: I don’t think the lack of gas extraction is a technical issue, and Nasrallah’s threat will affect Israel’s behavior; “Tel Aviv is postponing this for technical reasons.”
In his statement, he added: “Yes, Israel wanted gas extraction and an agreement with Lebanon, but this did not happen; Now there are calls to speed up the agreement, but Nasrallah’s threat is dissuading Israel from this extraction.”
Meanwhile, the President of Lebanon, Michel Aoun, hosted Joanna Veronica, the Special Coordinator of the United Nations in Lebanon, yesterday afternoon (Monday) and said in this meeting that the negotiations on demarcating maritime borders are in their final stages and It will guarantee Lebanon’s rights to drill for gas and oil in certain fields and in the special economic zone.
Earlier, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah in Lebanon, in a speech on the occasion of Imam Hussein’s (peace be upon him) Arbaeen, had warned Tel Aviv that the resistance would never compromise on Lebanon’s rights and allowed the withdrawal of gas from the Karish field. The Zionist regime does not give.
Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah emphasized in his words that: “We will not allow the extraction of oil and gas from its working field until Lebanon meets its rightful demands. Zionist officials said they would start mining in September, but they pushed it back. The start of gas extraction from Karish field is our red line. “All the threats of the enemy have no effect on us. Our eyes are on his work and our missiles are aimed at his field of work.”
