Zionist attempts to steal antiquities and destroy Palestinian identity.
The Zionist regime is trying to destroy the existence of Palestine and erase the history, civilization and identity of its nation by illegally seizing and stealing Palestinian sites and antiquities.
Palestine is one of the richest countries in the world in terms of antiquities, as it competes with Egypt in terms of access to antiquities in the Arab world. The occupying Zionist regime has been interested in Palestinian antiquities since 1948, which reflect the Arab identity of Palestine. A committee of Israeli archaeologists was formed to conduct archaeological research throughout Palestine.
Israel’s goal of stealing and looting Palestinian antiquities; falsifying history and giving a Jewish character in order to serve the Zionist narrative about the occupation of Palestine. There are historical monuments in the main Palestinian cities of Acre, Jaffa, Jerusalem and Tabria, which were not spared from Israeli attempts to Judaize them. The issue did not end there. The Zionist regime tried to convert the Palestinian style and method to Judaism through its various institutions and through systematic theft and fraud.
Palestine has a heritage and history of thousands of years; But at a time when many Palestinian parties are trying to preserve their heritage, history and civilization, they are being looted by the occupying Israeli regime and the “mafia” that sells antiquities, heritage and history. In this regard, studies show that there are more than 3,300 archeological sites in the West Bank, and a number of researchers confirm that there is an archeological site in every half kilometer of Palestine that shows the true identity of Palestine.
It is important to point to the destructive effects of the Israeli retaining wall on the future of Palestinian monuments, as the continued construction of the wall deep in the West Bank will eventually lead to the annexation of more than 50 percent of the Palestinian West Bank and 270 archeological sites. On the other hand, in addition to 2,000 ancient landmarks and historical sites, dozens of archeological sites and monuments have been destroyed during the construction of the apartheid wall during the previous stages.
It is important to note that Israel participated in international exhibitions that presented Palestinian fashion and food as Israeli, while they are part of the identity of the Palestinian people. After the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip on June 5, 1967, Israel did not stop its policies aimed at stealing Palestinian antiquities and trying to Judaize them.
