Zakharova: The West is trying to weaken the relations between Russia and Latin America.
According to Tass, the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry announced that, contrary to the efforts of the West, relations between this country and Latin American countries are improving.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that those who hope to create differences between Russia and Latin American countries cannot and will not be able to do so, as relations between these countries are becoming stronger.
The spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that as far as the relations between Russia and Latin America are concerned, the relations between the two sides are based on mutual sympathy, readiness for equal interaction, and beneficial dialogue based on the universally recognized norms of international law, and will be strengthened compared to before.
Zakharova further added that the European Union clearly tried to dictate to these countries what to do. Europeans tried to influence the opinion of Latin American countries to strengthen cooperation with Russia.
The Russian diplomat emphasized that the European Union tried to undermine Russia’s relations with Latin America, which has been full of friendship, cultural affinity, and mutually beneficial cooperation for decades, but failed.
