Yeni Shafaq: American trainers had trained the perpetrator of the terrorist explosion in Istanbul.
Ahlam al-Bashir, the Syrian citizen who carried out the November 13 terrorist attack on Istanbul’s Esteghlal Street, was trained by American trainers, a Turkish newspaper reported.
On Tuesday, the Turkish newspaper “Yeni Shafaq” quoted the police in charge of investigating the terrorist explosion in Istanbul and reported that Ahlam al-Bashir, the Syrian citizen who carried out the November 13 terrorist attack on Esteghlal Street, was trained by American instructors.
According to this newspaper, the Syrian branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is banned in Turkey, ordered the attack.
This person was arrested ten hours after fleeing the scene of the incident where he placed an explosive device on a bench. This newspaper reported that the Istanbul police used all technical means to search for this terrorist and they were finally able to track him using 1,200 CCTV cameras.
On Monday, Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu announced the arrest of this person and 45 other people who were possibly involved in this attack. He also criticized America and said “Ankara does not accept Washington’s message of condolence due to the deadly PKK terrorist attack in Istanbul”.
Earlier, by blaming the American government for this terrorist attack and killing people in Istanbul, he explained that Washington’s message of condolence is like a criminal returning to the scene of his crime.
According to the announcement of the Istanbul General Security Directorate, the attack was carried out by al-Bashir, who is affiliated with the PKK and was sent from the Syrian city of Kobani months ago, and he confessed to his crime during the interrogation.
A bomb explosion in Istanbul’s Esteghlal Street left six dead and more than 80 injured. The research team believes that the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and its Syrian branch known as People’s Defense Units were complicit in this terrorist explosion.
