Yemeni official: No progress has been made in implementing the ceasefire.
The head of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council stressed that the aggressor countries are obstructing any action that would lead to the success of the ceasefire, and that no progress has been made in any of its clauses.
Mehdi al-Mashat, chairman of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council, congratulated Eid al-Fitr on Sunday evening and condemned the continuation of the siege of the country for the eighth consecutive year by the Saudi-Emirati aggression coalition.
Al-Masira news network quoted Al-Mashat as saying that the aggressor coalition had committed criminal acts that led to an increase in transportation costs and the price of food and medicine.
He continued that the aggressor countries are blocking any action that leads to the success of the ceasefire, and after half a period of the ceasefire, no progress has been made in any of its clauses.
“We will continue to work for the realization of our legal rights, to end the siege, to stop the aggression and to regain our freedom and independence,” he said, adding that the aggressor countries and their mercenaries are in control of Yemen’s oil and gas resources. 129 million barrels of crude oil have been looted.
Al-Mashat congratulated the Palestinian people on their martyrdom operations against the Israeli enemy, citing the coalition’s plunder of more than $ 7 billion in Yemeni oil, and stressed that jihad and armed struggle are the only way to liberate Palestine.
Emphasizing that Yemen’s assistance to the Palestinian people is the result of a principled, humane, political and religious stance, he expressed hope that the country would be able to play a practical and efficient role in the liberation of Palestine.
The Yemeni official called on the Islamic nations to boycott American and Israeli goods and to help the Palestinian people, and condemned any normalization of relations with the Israeli enemy.
