Yemeni Defense Minister: The Saudi coalition has no choice but to admit defeat.
The Minister of Defense of the National Salvation Government and former commander of the Yemeni Missile Unit stressed that the invasion of Yemen has practically failed and that the perpetrators must have the courage to admit defeat.
Brigadier General Mohammed Nasser al-Atefi, defense minister of the National Salvation Government and former commander of the Yemeni Missile Unit, said that army forces and popular committees and all freedmen throughout Yemen had achieved great victories against the Saudi coalition and its mercenaries during the seven years of war.
In an interview with the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar, he added, “Based on our military and strategic concept, we are announcing to the world today that the global aggression against Yemen has failed and that the aggressor coalition has no choice but to bravely admit this defeat.”
Al-Atefi stated that the recapture of the city of Ma’rib is imminent and that soon, with the permission of God Almighty, the Yemeni people and all the free people of the ummah will hear good news, and Ma’rib will return to his homeland.
He said: “Marib is a Yemeni land and all regions of Yemen will soon return to the rule of this country and this is an indisputable issue.”
According to al-Atefi, most of the security in Ma’rib province is provided by the Yemeni army and popular committees, and these forces have reached the outskirts of Ma’rib and surrounded the city.
The Yemeni Minister of Defense also said that Yemeni oil is a wealth of sovereignty and belongs to its people, and that we have a strategic weapon to counter any direct or indirect aggression against oil facilities.
Referring to the need to save the lives of Yemeni refugees, he said that the aggressor coalition and its agents use the refugees as human shields.
Al-Atefi also said about the British military presence in Al-Mahra that the British presence in Al-Mehra is occupation and colonialism and we will deal with all the aggressors in the Yemeni islands and we will never rest until the wajib recapture of the occupied areas of Yemen.
Pointing out that supporting maritime affairs is part of our responsibility, he said Riyadh and Abu Dhabi are seeking ransom from the international community and are working to internationalize the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb.
Regarding the efforts of the UAE and Saudi Arabia to expand Israeli influence in a number of Yemeni islands, such as Socotra and Muon, the Yemeni Minister of National Defense said: The Yemeni lands of the islands, ports or provinces will never rest, and the Zionists and the Zionists will understand what we mean in the future.
