Yemeni Ansarullah conditions for negotiating a ceasefire.
A member of the Ansarullah movement’s political bureau, while declaring that the movement was not a military solution, outlined the conditions for the Yemeni National Salvation Government to enter the political process and negotiate a ceasefire.
“The meeting of the various Yemeni sides will begin next week in a bid to build a common vision for the resumption of talks to end the Yemeni war,” said Moin Sharim, the UN deputy envoy to Yemen.
According to Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, he said in a virtual meeting: “We are working on two parallel lines, trying to establish a ceasefire in Yemen at the same time as calls for a comprehensive solution.”
On the other hand, Abdul Malik al-Ajri, a member of the political bureau of the Ansarullah movement, stated that the realization of peace is not a tactic or a transitional moment for them, but has been a principled position since the beginning of the crisis; The military solution is not Ansarullah’s option, but peace’s option.
He continued: “The peace we seek is the cessation of all forms of apparent and invisible war against Yemen.”
Al-Ajri added that the entry of the Yemeni National Salvation Government into the political process and the negotiation of a ceasefire are conditional on the beginning of the political process, the lifting of the economic blockade on Yemen, the reopening of Sanaa and Bandar al-Hudaidah airports and the lifting of sanctions on the Yemeni people.
In this regard, the head of the negotiating team of the Yemeni National Salvation Government has delivered Sanaa’s vision for a political solution to the Yemeni crisis to Moscow.
“We, through the ambassador of Moscow to Yemen, express our views on a humanitarian solution to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and provide space to stop the war and enter the UN-supervised political process,” Ansarullah spokesman Mohammad Abdul Salam was quoted as saying by Al-Masira. We delivered Russian friends.
In an interview with his Emirati counterpart Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan recently, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed the need for a political solution to the Yemeni crisis in retaliatory attacks by the Yemeni armed forces deep inside the UAE and ways to resolve the Yemeni crisis.
