Al-Haq Party of Yemen condemned the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and held the government of this country responsible for it.
Yemen’s Al-Haq party, while condemning the insult to the Holy Quran in Sweden, considered it a crime against religion and Islamic holy symbols.
On Wednesday evening of last week (June 28), a 37-year-old Iraqi-born Swede named “Salvan Momika” in Stockholm, on the first day of the Eid al-Adha holiday, tore a copy of the Holy Quran and set it on fire in the central mosque of this city.
In a statement, Hizbul-ul-Haq pointed out that insulting the Qur’an is an attack on Islam and its sanctities, and emphasized that this action is an insult to the Islamic Ummah, which silence is not permissible.
According to the report of the “Al-Masira” website, Hizbul-ul-Haq also held the Swedish government responsible for this insult and demanded to punish the perpetrators and prevent the repetition of such crimes.
This Yemeni party also called on the governments and institutions of Islamic countries to condemn this crime and prevent its repetition.
