Yemen: The pressure from the aggressors do not deter us from confronting injustice.
The Yemeni Supreme Political Council congratulated the Yemeni people on the widespread acceptance of the march condemning the siege of Yemen.
The statement said: “We emphasize that by adhering to the people’s choice, we will take steps to confront the aggression and the oppressor and to preserve the achievements of the people.”
The Yemeni Supreme Political Council added: “We will continue to develop solutions to counter the aggression and the rise of Yemen and to facilitate the livelihood of the people.”
At the end of the statement: “The present stage requires us to unite and stand firm against the options that the enemy wants to impose on us by using his dirtiest means, hunger and intimidation.”
According to IRNA, hundreds of thousands of Yemenis marched in various provinces of the country, condemning the siege and the attacks of the Saudi-led coalition forces, demanding the lifting of the siege and the import of petroleum products.
In this march, which took place on Monday in 20 squares in the provinces of Hajjah, Rima, Dhamar, Ab, Beyza, Taiz, Jawf, Imran, Dhala and Saada, entitled “The siege of petroleum products is the decision of the United States and our choice is the storm of Yemen” (referring to the operation A confrontation took place (like the Yemeni army and popular committees), in which participants condemned the US and Saudi Arabia imposing sanctions and a blockade on the Yemeni people and preventing the import of petroleum products into the country.
Saudi Arabia, along with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan, and the United States, began invading Yemen on April 26, 2015, with the formation of the so-called Arab-American Alliance. They left, and Abu Dhabi has now transformed from an old ally into a rival to Riyadh in southern Yemen.
