Yemen embargoed Swedish goods and companies.
In response to the ongoing desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden, the National Salvation Government of Yemen has sanctioned Swedish goods and companies.
The National Salvation Government of Yemen, in response to the desecration of the Holy Qur’an in Sweden, announced that it will boycott Swedish goods and companies in response to the instructions of Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the leader of Ansarullah, and in defense of the sanctities of Islam.
“Mohammed Sharaf Al Motahar”, the Minister of Industries and Commerce of the National Salvation Government of Yemen, issued orders to embargo Swedish goods and companies.
According to Yemen’s “Ansarullah” website, according to these orders, the direct or indirect import of all goods produced in Sweden to the Republic of Yemen is prohibited.
According to this report, all agencies registered in the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Yemen for goods, products and services of Swedish origin will be canceled and the registration of various branches of foreign companies with the account of a Swedish company or individual will be canceled.
Al-Muthahar emphasized: Based on its religious, national, and moral responsibilities, the Ministry of Industry and Trade attaches great importance to the process of boycotting the goods of countries that insult Islam and Muslims, and it is within the framework of the necessary action to respond to Western terrorism, which is the heavenly message of Islam.
In the continuation of insulting the holy things of Muslims in Sweden under the pretext of freedom of speech, a Swede of Iraqi origin named “Salvan Momika” (37 years old), on Wednesday (July 7th) in Stockholm and on the first day of the Eid al-Adha holiday, tore a copy of the Quran and set it on fire in the central mosque of this city. This action was done with the support and approval of the police and the Swedish government.
Following this desecration of the Holy Quran, users and activists of social networks in Arab and Islamic countries demanded a boycott of Swedish goods in protest.
This campaign was launched following the statement of Al-Azhar in Egypt, which called for a boycott of Swedish goods and asked Islamic countries to take a firm and unified position against the burning of the Holy Quran in Sweden.
