World Bank Grants One Billion Aid To Turkiye But For Syria Nothing.
According to Rashatoudi, the head of the World Bank announced the allocation of cash aid to Turkey in the middle of the crisis caused by the deadly earthquake in this country.
“David Malpass”, the president of the World Bank, announced regarding the deadly earthquake in Turkey: “We are providing immediate aid to this country.” According to Malpass, the World Bank is also ready to quickly assess the immediate and urgent field needs of earthquake victims.
The head of the World Bank announced the aid amount of this international organization to Turkey at 1.78 billion dollars and said that this aid will be allocated to support rescue and recovery efforts after the earthquake in Turkey.
While Syria, like Turkey, is struggling with the disaster caused by the recent deadly earthquake, there is no mention of providing aid to this country in the statement of the head of the World Bank.
According to the announcement of the President of Turkey, 18 thousand 991 people have died due to the earthquake and 75 thousand 570 people have been injured.
It should be noted that a terrible and deadly earthquake occurred last Monday in southern Turkey and parts of Syria, which has left a large number of dead and wounded.
