The Lebanese news site Al-Ahd published a report on the importance of this base for American terrorist forces and wrote that Al-Zafra base, which is operated by the UAE Air Force, is the main base of US forces in the region and today is one of the most active US spy bases around the world. . Previously, the base’s role was limited to refueling American fighter jets.
According to Al-Ahd, the base is home to the US Air Force’s 380th Division and the 99th Reconnaissance Squadron, which is responsible for providing important information to the highest levels of command and about 3,500 to 3,800 US troops.
According to the report, the base has more than 60 aircraft, including the Lockheed U-2 long-range reconnaissance aircraft, AWACS aircraft, refueling aircraft, a squadron of F-15s and F-22s.
Al-Ahd reported that al-Zafra is the only military base outside the United States that includes this advanced type of aircraft and fighter. One-third of the aircraft at the base are for reconnaissance and surveillance operations in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, and include several depots for logistical support purposes.
The base was used for the recent US withdrawal from Afghanistan, the report concluded. However, the US presence in this base was not publicly announced until 2017.
In this regard, “Yahya Sari”, the spokesman of the Yemeni Armed Forces, this morning gave the details of the deep operations in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
He said Al-Zafra air base and other critical targets in Abu Dhabi were targeted with a large number of Zulfiqar ballistic missiles, and other vital targets in Dubai were targeted by the Samad 3 UAV.
He added that a number of military bases deep inside Saudi Arabia in the “Shurra” region and other areas were hit by “Samad 1” and “Qasef k2” drones.
Yahya Sarih continued that the critical centers in “Jazan” and “Asir” in the south of Saudi Arabia were targeted with a large number of ballistic missiles, and the goals of this operation, which was carried out with high accuracy, were achieved.
