Biden: We made a mistake about Afghanistan.
According to Reuters, US President Joe Biden, who was visiting a Pennsylvania crash site on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, has once again defended his actions of withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan.
“The United States cannot occupy every country where al-Qaeda is present,” Biden said.
Biden’s remarks come as the Taliban’s hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan and its takeover by the Taliban has drawn widespread international criticism.
He added that the United States could not launch a military operation against any country in which the al-Qaeda terrorist organization is present.
“Is it possible for al-Qaeda to return to Afghanistan?” Biden said. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either.
“So what should be the approach?” Wherever al-Qaeda is present, should we attack it and keep our forces there? Never, carefree.
Biden claimed: “It was wrong to think that Afghanistan could be truly united … but American forces achieved their main goal of killing al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden on May 2, 2011.”
