The Chinese representative to the international community in Vienna stressed that although progress has been made in the negotiations on the Iran nuclear deal in Vienna, there is still a long way to go before a final agreement.
Wang Chun, China’s representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna, Austria, yesterday (Wednesday) called on all parties involved to step up efforts to advance the UN Security Council.
According to China’s official Xinhua news agency, the Chinese representative made the request after yesterday’s meeting of the Joint Commission in Vienna.
The meeting of the Joint Commission of Borjam was held yesterday (Wednesday) with the presence of the delegations of Iran and the P5 + 1 (Germany, France, China, Russia, and Britain) and Enrique Mora, the representative of the European Union, at the Grand Hotel in Vienna.
The meeting was chaired by Enrique Mora, Deputy Secretary-General of the European Union’s Foreign Action Service, and was chaired by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
After yesterday’s meeting of the Burjam Joint Commission, Mora told reporters that he was “absolutely confident” that a final agreement would be reached on reviving Burjam.
Regarding the Borjami talks in Vienna, Wang Chun said that in general, progress has been made in the talks, but there is still a long way to go to reach an agreement.
The Chinese representative stressed the need to increase the efforts of the relevant parties (Britain, France, Russia, China, plus Germany, Iran and the United States) to turn the goodwill of reaching an agreement into coherent and firm action, saying that all parties to the UN Security Council Take forward and make realistic and practical proposals for the lifting of sanctions, nuclear action, and the sequence of US and Iranian return to the BRICS commitments to help formulate a comprehensive and effective plan.
The Chinese envoy also expressed hope for an agreement between Iran and the IAEA, saying he hoped that Iran and the IAEA would make timely arrangements for the extension of the “interim bilateral technical agreements” reached in February.
