Riyadh: We are assured nuclear talks will include Iran’s Missile System.
Reiterating its claims against Iran, the Saudi foreign minister claimed that Riyadh had been assured that Iran’s missile program and regional behavior would be discussed in the new agreement with Tehran.
In an interview with France 24, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said Riyadh had been assured that any new agreement with Iran would include further demands for its missile program, as well as Tehran’s support for military groups in the region.
“We are confident that the international community will work hard to ensure that the shortcomings of the nuclear deal are resolved over time and that regional instability resulting from Iran’s activities is eliminated,” he said.
The Saudi foreign minister further stressed that there are no indirect channels between Riyadh and Tehran, but that Saudi Arabia is ready to enter into negotiations if Iran’s behavior changes.
In an interview with CNN on Saturday, the Saudi foreign minister also called for participation in the Iran nuclear talks, calling it an opportunity for dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Iran and the possibility of developing relations between them to the level of partnership.
As for Yemen, Faisal bin Farhan told France 24 that despite the attack by Houthi forces (Ansarullah) on Saudi-backed forces, a ceasefire offer is still on the table.
Regarding the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime, the Saudi Foreign Minister said: “Any normalization of relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv will be possible after the peace agreement between Palestine and Israel.”
