Wshington: The US government has stated that it has no military solution to the Yemeni crisis and has stated that it will continue to work with all parties to ensure a political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
The US State Department said in a statement on Thursday evening, Washington time, that the Yemeni crisis should be resolved politically, not militarily, according to the international group Tasnim, quoting Al Jazeera.
“We will continue to work with all parties to ensure a political solution to the Yemeni crisis and a lasting ceasefire,” the State Department added.
“We welcome the outcome of the IAEA Board of Governors meeting on Iran,” the statement said, referring to Iran and its nuclear program.
“The decisions of Britain, France, and Germany regarding Iran in the International Atomic Energy Agency were made with the support of Washington,” the ministry said in a statement.
“Washington has made a proposal to negotiate with the Iranians within the P5 + 1 that has been accepted by the Europeans,” the State Department said.
The statement added that “the United States welcomes Europe’s withdrawal from the proposed resolution against Iran and hopes that Iran will commit itself to this decision.”
