In a press conference on Tuesday (December 6th), Ned Price, the spokesperson of the United States Department of State, once again emphasized Washington’s commitment to remove Iran from the UN Commission on the Status of Women by supporting Iran’s unrest.
In this regard, he said: “We are committed to the removal of Iran from this commission because, to put it simply, it is the right thing to do and it shows that we stand by the women of Iran and around the world.”
Pointing to the time when the anti-Iranian resolution to remove from the UN Commission on the Status of Women will be voted on, Price continued: “This resolution will be voted on on December 14 (December 23) and we will continue to work with our allies and partners to gain the support of the members Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, we continue for this proposed action.
In a gesture of support for the people of Iran, Price said about the riots: “We are committed to supporting the people of Iran and imposing costs on those who are responsible for oppressive repression. The spokesperson of the US Department of State expressed concern about the nuclear developments and the enrichment program of the Islamic Republic of Iran and continued: “We are aware of Iran’s claims of enriching uranium up to 60%, and we also know that Iran has significant amounts of uranium with a high percentage of enrichment that It has no valid civilian use, and we know that if Iran decides, it may be enriched up to the percentage of weapons enrichment.
