Venezuela: Riyadh-Tehran agreement is a step towards creating a multipolar world.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela welcomed the agreement between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Saudi Arabia with the mediation of China in a Twitter message.
“Yvan Gil Pinto”, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela, wrote in a Twitter message in this regard: The said agreement is considered an important diplomatic achievement.
In this regard, he added: Consultation between countries is the main axis of the implementation of diplomacy based on the principles of the United Nations Charter.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela added: “The people and the Bolivarian government hope that the agreement reached between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a way to strengthen the peace and security of the region and a further step towards building a multi-centered and multi-polar world.”
On Friday, a tripartite statement in Beijing was signed by Ali Shamkhani, the representative of the Supreme Leader and the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mosaed bin Mohammad Al-Aiban, Minister of Advisors and a member of the Council of Ministers and National Security Advisor of Saudi Arabia, and Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau. The Central Committee of the Communist Party and the head of the office of the Central Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Party and a member of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China were issued.
As a result of the talks, the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia agreed to resume their diplomatic relations and reopen embassies and agencies within a maximum of 2 months. The foreign ministers of the two countries are meeting each other to implement this decision and make the necessary arrangements for the exchange of ambassadors.
The two countries, emphasizing respect for sovereignty and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs, in the context of the implementation of the security cooperation agreement signed on 28.1.1380 equal to 17.4.2001, as well as the general agreement on economic cooperation, trade, investment, technical, scientific, cultural, sports, and youth, signed on 3.6.1377 equivalent to 5.27.1998.
The announcement of the unexpected agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia and the restoration of diplomatic relations after 7 years met with a wide regional and international reaction.
