Saddam Haftar, the son of former Libyan army general Khalifa Haftar and commander of the Eastern Libyan forces, recently had a secret meeting with Israeli intelligence officials, US media reported.
The Republican and extremist American website quotes an informed source as saying that Israeli intelligence officials had a private and secret meeting with “Saddam Haftar” last month (March).
According to the Washington Free Bacon website, Zionist officials met with Saddam Haftar, the son of the commander of the Libyan National Army, to discuss his candidacy for the 2021 Libyan presidential election.
The right-wing and extremist Republican media reported the news, citing an informed source, calling the meeting “a signal of Israeli support for his candidacy (Saddam Haftar in Libya’s presidential election).”
