US Joint Chiefs of Staff: Ukraine’s victory over Russia is unlikely.
The senior officials of the US military announced the difficult task of Ukraine in confronting Russia and defeating this country’s army.
Senior US military officials announced on Wednesday evening the low probability of Ukraine’s military victory over Russia and continued support for the Ukrainian army.
According to “Agence France-Presse”, General Mark Milley, the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said, “There is a small possibility that Ukraine will be able to force Russia to leave all its territories.”
General Milli continued: “The probability of a military victory for Ukraine, the expulsion of the Russians from all of Ukraine, and the likelihood of this happening anytime soon is low from a military point of view.”
The head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Army said: “Ukraine will continue its resistance. “Ukraine is not going to back down.”
Meanwhile, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of the Russian presidency, recently said that military operations in Ukraine may continue even after achieving their goals.
“Military operations in Ukraine will end only after achieving their goals,” Peskov said. Of course, these goals can be achieved through peace talks, but peace talks are not possible because of Kiev’s position.
Stating that the withdrawal of Russian forces from the Kherson region was the decision of the Russian Ministry of Defense, he stated: “Despite this withdrawal, Kherson is a part of Russian territory and this situation will not change.”
Senior US military leaders also said the US would support Ukraine as long as it takes to defend itself against Russian forces, the report said. Senior US military officials stated that it is up to Kyiv to decide when and how to negotiate with Moscow.
