US General: Unites States has 400,000 troops in 155 countries.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff said there are currently approximately 400,000 US troops in 155 countries.
Russia and China are seeking to change the current world order, said Mark Millie, chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
“China and Russia have great military capabilities and both intend to change the structure of the current world system,” he said.
“There are currently about 400,000 US troops in 155 countries,” he added.
“Russia’s attack on Ukraine is not only a threat to peace and stability in Europe, it is a threat to the whole world,” he said.
“We are currently witnessing the greatest threat to peace and security in Europe,” added Mark Millie.
“Our ability to convey important information to Ukraine has been very useful,” he added.
He also addressed the issue of Iran and claimed that Iran will always remain a major regional threat against the United States.
“We are ready to respond to any threat that threatens the United States and its interests,” Millie said.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin said the operation was aimed at “supporting people who have been bullied and genocided by the Kiev regime for eight years.”
According to him, for this purpose, it is planned to “disarm and demilitarize Ukraine” so that all war criminals responsible for “bloody crimes against civilians” in the Donbass region are brought to justice.
