On the third anniversary of the martyrdom of Saleh al-Samad, chairman of the Supreme Political Council, who was martyred on April 19, 2018, during a Saudi airstrike against Yemen, Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Sari stated that upcoming operations against the Yemeni aggressor coalition are named after the martyr. will be done.
In an interview with Al-Masira, he said: “The Yemeni armed forces are preparing for this operation and are just waiting for the command to indicate the appropriate time and place for it. The blood of Martyr Al-Samad will not be trampled and will not be destroyed.”
The brigadier general made the remarks during an official visit by members of the Supreme Political Council, the Ministry of Defense, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff to the shrine of Martyr al-Samad.
Fighters of the Saudi coalition attacked the convoy of Saleh al-Samad, chairman of the Yemeni Supreme Political Council in the west of the country, who was visiting the region on May 19, 2018, as a result of which he, along with six other Yemeni officials were martyred.
