United Nations: The situation in Gaza after 15 years of siege is catastrophic.

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OCHA) announced in a report that the situation in the Gaza Strip has become catastrophic after 15 years of land, sea and air blockade of this area.
It is stated in this report that the blockade of the Gaza Strip has increased the rate of poverty and unemployment to its highest level, destroyed the Palestinian economy and made 50% of them rely on international aid.
According to “Rai Elyoum” newspaper, in this report, referring to the concern of the United Nations about the blockade of the Gaza Strip and the violation of the obligations of the Zionist regime, the necessity of lifting the blockade of Gaza in accordance with the Security Council Resolution No. 1860 is emphasized.
Ocha also stated in his report that the blockade of the Gaza Strip has so far caused the death of hundreds of residents of the Gaza Strip, as well as the Egyptian authorities closed the Rafah crossing after 2014 due to political unrest in Egypt, but this crossing has been open most of the time since mid-2018. it is open.
According to this report, the siege of Gaza since 2007 has caused a delay in the construction of the houses that the occupying regime has destroyed, and in addition, the provision of health services, education and services in the water and sewage sector has decreased.
