United Nations: The current situation on the border between Lebanon and Israel is dangerous.
According to Anatolia news agency, the media office of the United Nations peacekeeping forces based in Lebanon “UNIFIL” announced in a statement that the current situation on the border of this country with Israel is “very dangerous”.
It is stated in this statement: Rockets were fired towards Israel (Occupied Palestinian Territories) in the south of Lebanon this afternoon. The Israeli army informed UNIFIL that it has activated the Iron Dome air defense system against these attacks.
Arnoldo Lazaro, commander of UNIFIL, added in this statement: We are in contact with the authorities on both sides of the blue line. UNIFIL calls on the parties to refrain from escalating tensions immediately and exercise restraint.
