UN flag installed upside down in the earthquake-stricken cities of Syria.
According to the Shahab News website, a number of Syrian activists, in protest against the UN’s dual policies in dealing with the Syrian earthquake victims, installed the UN flag upside down on the ruins of the city of Jandires and other areas in the suburbs of Idlib.
With this action, the Syrian activists are trying to convey the message to the world that the United Nations has acted against the principles of human rights and has left the Syrian earthquake victims alone under the ruins.
According to local sources in Syria, nearly 5,000 people have died in the recent earthquake in the northern regions of the country, and this number will continue to increase due to the lack of debris removal in many areas.
