UN: Attack on Gaza displaces 10,000 Palestinians. The United Nations says 10,000 Palestinians have been forced to flee their homes since the start of the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip.
UN humanitarian coordinator for Palestine Lynn Hastings said UN reports indicate that some 10,000 Palestinians have been forced to flee their homes as a result of the attack on Gaza.
He added that despite the outbreak of the coronavirus, these people have taken refuge in schools, mosques, and other places and have limited access to water, food, and health services.
According to Sputnik, the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Palestine stated that Israeli officials and Palestinian groups should allow fuel, food, and medical supplies to enter.
Hastings stressed the need for all parties to adhere to international law and human rights and called on UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to end the attacks on Gaza.
Guterres on Friday (yesterday) called on the Zionist regime and Palestinian groups to stop the war as soon as possible.
Clashes in Palestine began after Zionist militias and settlers recently attacked Palestinian worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem, severely beating them and sparking Palestinian anger.
On the other hand, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced that 139 people, including 39 children and 22 women, have been martyred since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s attacks on Gaza.
