Ukraine’s acknowledgment of the losses and exhaustion of the army in the battle with Russia.
Acknowledging the heavy losses and severe exhaustion of the country’s armed forces in the battle with Russia, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine said: “Kiev needs long-range artillery.”
After the widespread propaganda of the western countries led by the US regarding massive military aid to Ukraine, Kiev acknowledged the losses and exhaustion of its army in the war with Russia.
On Sunday evening, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, “Aleksiy Reznikov”, announced the high casualties, severe wear and tear of the country’s army’s ammunition.
Reznikov explained: “We have to upgrade our units, replace them and adjust them, because we have heavy losses. We want more armored vehicles, more weapons from our partners.”
“We have to rebuild some areas, update the fortifications and plan a new operational strategy,” he continued, according to “Ryanovsti” website, citing this interview.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine also stated that short-range Javelin missile systems and light anti-tank missiles are no longer on the list of priority equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, stating that Kiev now needs long-range artillery installations.
A few weeks ago, German sources reported that the government of Kiev requested Berlin to purchase 100 self-propelled artillery units of the “Howitzer” model.
However, some time later, “Spiegel” magazine, quoting German government sources, wrote that Berlin refused to provide them due to the fear of the Ukrainian military using tanks and long-range artillery made by this country to attack Russian soil. (More details)
