Ukraine: Power outages are becoming a common thing.
The CEO of one of the largest electricity supply companies in Ukraine warned that the country will be without electricity until at least the end of March next year.
After the statements of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about the deprivation of 10 million people of the country’s population from lighting, an energy official in Kiev announced that blackouts have become a common thing in Ukraine.
“Sergei Kovalenko”, CEO of “Yasno DTech” energy company, as one of the largest electricity suppliers in Ukraine, said that the country will be in a state of power outage at least until the end of March next year.
According to “Ryanvosti” website, Kovalenko explained in a statement: “Most likely, Ukrainians will have to live in blackout mode at least until the end of March. The main scenario is as follows, if there are no new attacks on the power grid, under the current conditions of power generation, the shortage can be distributed evenly across the country. “This means blackouts will be everywhere, but shorter.”
Asking Ukrainian citizens to prepare warm clothes for the winter season, he added: “It is better to do it now than to blame someone later.”
Earlier, the president of Ukraine said: “Power cuts occur in many cities and regions of the country. About 10 million Ukrainians are left without electricity.
The population of Ukraine before the start of the Russian military invasion was about 40 million people. According to the United Nations report, about 12 million Ukrainians have left the country due to the war. The most power outages were recorded in “Kharkiv”, “Zhytomyr”, “Kiev” and “Lviv” regions.
