In the first four months of 2021, Turkish military equipment exports reached $ 950 million, according to an extremist Turkish newspaper published in Baku.
The extremist Turkish daily Yeni Masavat, published in Baku, claimed that Russia had lost its customers in the global arms exorts market due to the effective use of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones for the widespread destruction of Russian weapons by the Armenian army in the Nagorno-Karabakh war. Weapons have turned to buy Turkish weapons!
“According to information provided by Turkey, the Turkish Ministry of Military Industry has faced an accumulation of demand and difficulty in delivering weapons to new customers in the arms market,” Yeni Masavat wrote. “Especially since the number of Bayraktar TB2 UAV customers is constantly increasing!”
The Turkish extremist newspaper added: “In April this year, Turkey arm and military equipment exports were of $ 302 million, of which $ 35 million was exported to the Republic of Azerbaijan! In addition, in April this year, Turkey exported $ 105 million worth of weapons to the United States, $ 13 million to Germany, $ 56 million to Bangladesh, $ 11 million to Russia, $ 23 million to Tunisia, and $ 10 million to Jordan. In total, Turkey exported $ 950 million worth of military equipment in the first four months of 2021.
Yeni Masavat also claims that the Scandinavian countries, seeing the effectiveness of the Turkish Bayraktar TB2 UAVs, have thought of buying these UAVs instead of American F-35 fighters!
“The problem with F-35s and other American weapons is that they are expensive,” said Yeni Masawat, quoting Norwegian military expert Asle Tuye. “The price of each Turkish Bayraktar TB2 UAV is $ 5 million, and with the price of each F-35 aircraft, 22 Bayraktar TB2 UAVs can be purchased and the same targets can be destroyed with these low-cost UAVs.”
