The former US president said that American Jews no longer like Israel, adding that Israel has complete control over the US Congress.
Former US President Donald Trump says in a recent interview that American Jews no longer care about Israel.
“Jews do not like or care about the United States or Israel,” Trump said in an interview with Vala Zionist correspondent Barak Ravid, according to Channel 12 television. “I tell you, evangelical Christians love Israel more than Jews.”
The former president added: “In the past, Israel had complete control over Congress; “But today I think the opposite is true, and Obama and Biden are to blame.”
The remarks come as Hebrew-language sources recently released another excerpt from Trump’s interview with Barack Ravid, in which he spoke of his full support for former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“No one has done as much for Netanyahu as I have,” Trump said in the interview. No one has worked for Israel as much as I have. The Golan was a big deal. I did this before the election and helped Netanyahu a lot. Some people told me that this gift (the occupied Syrian Golan) is worth tens of billions of dollars. I did this before the election. It helped him a lot. He would fail without me. “Thanks to me, there was a tie.”
