Trump complains about Facebook and Twitter and their CEOs.
Former United States President Donald Trump has said he has sued Facebook and Twitter over the bans.
Trump is in a news conference in New Jersey on Wednesday, local time, he said, adding that a lawsuit is being filed against Facebook and Twitter giants and their CEOs Mark Zuckerberg and Jack Dorussia.
CNBC quoted Trump as saying he wanted to end the ban and be blacklisted.
Trump called the case a “pivotal battle” and said our founders had enshrined the right to freedom of expression in the first constitutional amendment.
According to CNBC, instead of raising the issue on his own, Trump is making the claim as a class action, arguing that social media platforms should not impose restrictions on other conservative users. Create work.
Representatives on Twitter and Facebook declined to comment.
Trump’s Twitter account was permanently banned in January with 88 million followers.
Jack Dorsey said in January that he was facing “extraordinary circumstances” given the threat of real-world violence, and called Trump’s boycott a “right decision” on Twitter.
He said the Trump embargo was the right decision, even when he said it raised questions about how to keep the Internet open to everyone.
Unlike Twitter, which banned Trump, Facebook and YouTube have not deleted his accounts. Trump has 35 million followers on Facebook, 24 million on Instagram and 2.8 million on YouTube.
The former US president also sued YouTube in addition to Facebook and Twitter, CBS News reported.
