Three Ansarullah leaders blacklisted by UN Security Council.
According to ISNA, according to Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, the UN Security Council agreed to impose sanctions on Mohammad Abdul Karim Al-Ghamari, Chief of General Staff and coordinator of the attacks, Youssef Al-Madani, one of the commanders of Ansarullah forces, and Saleh Musfar Saleh, financial and logistical officer. .
The Security Council listed the three as “threats to Yemen’s peace, security and stability”.
According to a statement from the UN Sanctions Committee, the sanctions include freezing the assets of the three Ansar al-Islam leaders and banning them from traveling, a move taken unanimously by the Sanctions Committee, which includes 15 members of the Security Council.
Yemen has been facing a war since 2014 that claimed the lives of 233,000 people and, according to UN figures, has left 80 percent of the country’s population of about 30 million to meet their basic needs for support and assistance rely on humanitarian aid.
