Following the martyrdom of four Palestinians in the West Bank, the Zionist regime’s army is on high alert for fear of retaliation and the influx of jihadist groups’ missiles into the occupied territories, and has activated the Iron Dome system in the Gaza Strip.
According to IRNA on Sunday, quoting Al-Ahd, the Zionist media, while publishing news about the warning situation on the borders of the Gaza Strip, announced that the Iron Dome system was on standby for fear of firing missiles from the Gaza Strip in response to the occupying army operation in the West Bank.
The Zionists announced the preparation of the Iron Dome system while the inefficiency of the Iron Dome defense complex during the battle of the Holy Quds was proved.
The hard and exhausting battle of the Palestinian resistance groups with the Zionist regime under the name of the Sword of Quds finally ended at 2:00 AM on Friday, May 20, after the ceasefire was announced. As expected, the Zionist regime, despite much boasting, finally agreed to a ceasefire under the pressure of rocket attacks and widespread resistance groups.
The Israeli army, accompanied by the Marines of the Assassination Squad, known as the Yamam Unit, raided several areas in the West Bank this morning (Sunday), including the cities of Jenin and Barqin, and clashed with resistance fighters, killing four Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers. They were injured and were reported to be in critical condition.
Zionist media reported that at least two members of the regime were wounded in the clashes in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and that their condition was critical.
The Israeli army said in a statement that the assassination of the four Palestinians was part of a large-scale military operation against Hamas activists in the West Bank.
A spokesman for the Israeli army added that following the martyrdom of the four Palestinians, there was a possibility of rockets being fired from the Gaza Strip into the occupied territories.
