The Zionist settlers attacked a mosque in Al-Khalil city in the West Bank this morning (Monday, September 10) and set several copies of the Holy Quran on fire.
According to Arabic21 website, “Nidal Al-Jabari”, director of the Islamic Endowment Department of Hebron, said that the extremist Zionist settlers tore up and set fire to a number of copies of the Holy Quran in the “Qitoun” mosque near Hazm Sharif Ebrahimi in the old part of Hebron. And they put them in the bottle.
He emphasized that the desecration of God’s house and God’s book occurred after several unauthorized entry of Zionists into the Ibrahimi Shrine and the houses around it.
This Palestinian official also said that the soldiers of the occupying Jerusalem regime only allow Muslims to enter the Ibrahimi Shrine on certain days of the year, but the Zionist settlers can enter the shrine anytime throughout the year.
Last month, the Zionist regime prevented the call to prayer in the Ibrahimi Shrine and closed the doors of the shrine to worshipers for one day.
