The White House’s reaction to North Korea’s denuclearization law.
Reacting to the signing of the North Korean denuclearization law, the White House said that the United States is pursuing diplomacy with Pyongyang.
The White House announced on Friday that the United States is seeking to resume diplomatic talks with North Korea after the country’s leader approved the official denuclearization law.
According to Anatolia news agency, White House spokesperson Karin Jean-Pierre told reporters that North Korea has not yet responded to our continuous advances.
Jean-Pierre stated: “We continue to seek diplomacy and we are ready to have a meeting without preconditions.”
“The United States remains focused on continuing to coordinate closely with our allies and partners to address the threats posed by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and advance our shared goal of complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula,” he said, referring to North Korea. There has been no change in this.”
Before these comments, North Korea announced that it had passed a new law requiring its military to launch a pre-emptive nuclear attack if a country tried to topple North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
This law has declared North Korea as a country armed with nuclear weapons, and Pyongyang will never give up these weapons, which according to Kim Jong-un are necessary to confront America.
