The West is tricking countries into supporting its cause on Ukraine.
According to Tass, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized that the West is using all kinds of tricks to gain the support of the majority of the world’s developing countries for the Ukraine peace plan.
Lavrov stated: “Recently, they (Western countries) have started to push the countries of the world to support this formula.” Their adversarial calculation is that they are dealing with fully developed human beings who are inexperienced not only in diplomacy but in the normal interactions between adults.
He emphasized: This simple trick and trick does not need any explanation and is only to drag ordinary countries to support an unrealistic, Russo-phobic plan based on ultimatums and threats, and then hide behind the names of these ordinary countries and say this “You know that support for the Kiev peace formula is increasing among the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America”!
According to Lavrov, the West always claims that this so-called “peace formula” is the only way to lead to negotiations. He stated: I was not surprised at all, because these methods are exactly the same cunning methods that the West resorts to, not only about Ukraine, but also about many areas of world politics.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said at the G20 summit in November last year that Kiev “has a 10-point plan” to achieve peace. Among these 10 points, we can mention the nuclear food and energy security, the exchange of all prisoners, as well as the withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukraine and the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity.
Criticizing this plan, the senior Russian diplomat called it an “irrational initiative”.
