The website of Israel’s largest refinery was down for several days following a cyber attack.
Today, Monday, media sources announced that the website of the largest oil refining company of the Zionist regime has been shut down in recent days as a result of a cyber attack by parties called “groups attributed to Iran”.
Today, media sources reported that the website of “Bazan Group”, which is the largest oil refining company in the Zionist regime, was unavailable due to a cyber attack in the past few days.
Checks show that this website is available at the time of writing. Despite this, the “Energy Portal” database wrote in the news that was set 3 hours ago that this website is still not accessible from inside occupied Palestine; An issue that shows that the Zionist regime is probably trying to counter this attack with the “geoblocking” method.
The “Energy Portal” database reported today that when users visit the website of this Israeli oil refining company, they encounter messages about the lack of response from the servers or a Request Timeout error.
News sources have claimed that this attack was carried out by the “Cyber Avengers” hacker group, which supports the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In a message on the Telegram social network, this hacker group, while accepting responsibility for this cyber attack, said that it has succeeded in causing significant damage so far.
Bazan Company, which is based in Haifa city, generates more than 13.5 billion dollars in annual revenue and employs more than 1,800 people. This company claims that it has a refining capacity of about 9.8 million tons of crude oil per year.
The Cyber Avengers group has published images of the “data collection and management system” or SCADA of the Bazan company website. SCADA refers to software programs that are used to monitor and operate industrial control systems.
The weakness of the Zionists
This attack is a new example of the weakness of the Zionist regime against cyber attacks. Various institutions of this regime have been the target of cyber attacks by various groups many times in the past months. Currently, security experts consider cyber attacks against the regime’s security systems and institutions as one of the dimensions of existential threats against Tel Aviv.
1,000 “crippling” attacks
A senior official of the Zionist regime announced a few months ago, presenting official statistics, that last year Tel Aviv neutralized more than 1,000 cyber attacks that could paralyze the economy of this regime.
“Gabi Partoni”, the Secretary General of the Cyber Organization of the Zionist regime, said in June of this year at a conference on cyber technologies that cyber activities have now become one of the central implementations of protecting this regime against “external threats”, especially from Iran.
Partoni said in this conference that Israel, like other parts of the world, is exposed to cyber-attacks. “We also have to deal with Iran, which is launching organized, coordinated, and aggressive attacks on Israel’s cyberspace,” he said.
This Zionist official added that most of the residents of the occupied territories are not aware of the attacks that have stopped. He said: “We must prevent those attacks which, if successful, will cause millions of damages to the economy and the country.” “Our efforts often happen behind the scenes.”
